Appearance is an element of wines that is often not given enough attention in blind tasting. Visual cues can often help us to narrow our world before we've even smelled or tasted a wine. In this seminar, we'll discuss many pieces of information that a wine's appearance can give us, as well as implications that can help us to fully use what we're smelling and tasting, and certain categories that have very distinctive appearances. Of course, we'll have wines in front of us to illustrate some of these points. You might be surprised at how much you can figure out by looking at a wine.
Seating is limited to 12. The cost is $20/person to cover the wines, payable in advance using this PayPal link: https://paypal.me/bostonsommelier/20. Payment will also confirm your reservation. Seating priority will go to those current on their BSS membership dues.
